  • BS, Computer Networking & Cyber Security, Champlain College

Andrew has always been a fan of tech. At a young age, he learned C#, which led him to later go to Champlain College and obtain a BS in Computer Networking and Cyber Security. He mastered system administration and developed an understanding of creating robust security policies through general practice and procedures enforced via Active Directory. In addition to this, Andrew developed proficiency with Linux and Microsoft Windows. As a result, he has become skilled in creating automated scripts, whether in Bash or PowerShell. Finally, Andrew has obtained a minor in Digital Forensics during his time at Champlain College. This skill has allowed him to recover data from hard drives that would otherwise have been unrecoverable.

“Staying connected and doing so securely is critical to business operation. I feel confident that I can help determine the best way to achieve that.”

Before joining Arktech, Andrew could leverage some of these skills to help small organizations and non-profits, including modernizing a church website to help members stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. Teaching a non-tech savvy user base how to manage a word-press web page, set up online meetings, and upload church services providing the tools to stay connected online. In addition to this, Andrew has developed tools and automated scripts to help other organizations to stay connected during the pandemic by running team-speak servers and creating Discord “bots.” When not typing away on a computer in his free time, Andrew is an avid scuba diver and has previously done volunteer work for the Belizean department of fisheries.

We elected to sell our house ourselves without the assistance of real estate agents, thus saving $31,800.00 in commissions. The home was built in 1894 in the Queen Anne cottage style that John Roberts, a Burlington builder, popularized.

Arktech was an enthusiastic partner in the project since it was the first time for each of us. It was a true collaboration with us sharing ideas on a prototype that clearly can be used again. John James made many suggestions that were included in the final website. Prospective buyers were greatly impressed with the website and the information made available to them. We had many inquiries. The website allowed the potential buyers to focus their attention on their needs.

The marketing efforts were capped off with an open house that resulted in two offers, which allowed for the acceptance of an offer $30,000 greater than the asking price.

I would recommend Arktech to those that seek to create a website for their marketing program.
